Why come and train at Thursby?

We are passionate about Duathlon and Triathlon and strongly believe that the only barrier to being successful in Multisport is failing to realise your own potential.

At Thursby we have a home which is built on inspiration. Here we share our thoughts, hopes, fears, anxieties and aspirations and turn them into reasoned and practical solutions. We will offer advice on making the most of your abilities and guidance on how to push yourself further.

You will leave Thursby with guidance on:

  • Making the most of your time training
  • What to eat while training and in the build up to a key race
  • How to understand and prepare your own training programme
  • Balancing Strength, Endurance and Speed training through a whole season
  • Managing rest
  • Strength and Conditioning
  • Transition Training
  • Specific training on Swim-Bike-Run
  • Brick training
  • Body Composition



We only coach small gatherings to ensure you all receive the maximum feedback in the time available. If you feel that you require individual attention or wish to train alongside beginners or in a ladies only camp then please contact us for details.

The weekend

Friday

  • Arrival from 18:00
  • Introductions, Ice Breaker and meal at local restaurant/pub

Saturday

  • Breakfast
  • Bike/Run brick session
  • Lunch
  • Strength and Conditioning
  • Race day nutrition
  • Transition training
  • Periodisation
  • Supper (Pre-race menu)

Sunday

  • Swimming
  • Breakfast
  • Run/Bike brick session
  • Lunch
  • Nutrition and Food Diaries
  • Training Plans
  • Body Composition
  • Close approx 17:00

Abilities

All abilities can be catered for including beginners. Increased breaks and taking lectures between active training sessions will allow people of all ability to participate.

Training camp rates

A standard weekend of training costs £220 per person. This is inclusive of all meals and non-alcoholic drinks. Our accommodation is flexible and prices will vary according to your needs.
