Introduction
Athletes under the direction of Jon Cowell have made significant achievements through the use of individual periodised training programmes and constant analytical assessment. Much of Jon's success can be attributed to direct observation and one-to-one tuition during quality sessions. Whilst this is the most successful method of coaching, it is limited by:
- allocated time available
- athlete may become coach dependant.
From his base at Thursby, Jon is now available to offer this successful method of coaching to assist all levels of runners, duathletes and triathletes* in a number of areas:

Athlete Coaching
Using an initial assessment as a starting point, Jon will assist the individual in determining the key areas of development and will create a training plan tailored to the athlete's needs.
The initial assessment will include: - Conditioning test
- Body composition report
- Setting/Review of key annual target(s)
- Outline of annual training plan
- Detailed 4 microcycle (weeks) training plan
- Establish interim review dates
- Determine any athlete support requirements

Personal Training
Jon is able to provide one-to-one training sessions on an adhoc basis, to support specific needs for: - Beginners

Fear not triathletes, Jon is a qualified Triathlon Coach and has a wealth of experience of swimming as part of triathlon in races from Sprint to IronMan distance.
Jon understands the needs of swimmers sufficiently to provide individual stroke analysis and then set the swim training as part of a multisport plan for beginners and those seeking improvement or preparation for IronMan competition.

For individual tuition, charges start at £35.00 per hour. Discounts for regular bookings or group training sessions are available.
Certain charges for travel or home visits may apply.

About the Coach
Jon Cowell has been training, coaching and mentoring all manner of athletes for over 20 years; from unwilling and unathletic soldiers through to those preparing for SAS selection, from road running club beginners and experienced marathoners to medal winning Age Group Duathletes.
With a supportive and empathetic style, Jon will encourage beginners to take on the multisport challenge or can provide a critical and constructive review of the more experienced athlete's training.
Specialising in gaining maximum investment from the minimum workload, arriving at the start line fit and fresh and the incorporation of strength and conditioning into training regimes, Jon can assist you with your athletic aspirations.
